Neonatal Care

Simona sees newborn babies referred by Obstetricians at the following locations:

  • Cabrini Hospital Malvern
  • Waverley Private Hospital
  • Jesse McPherson Hospital

Simona's neonatal practice consists of managing the care of newborn babies and attending deliveries (emergency/elective cesarean sections, high risk births). Simona conducts baby checks and manages babies that need admission to the Nursery for conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress, infection and jaundice.

 

She offers ongoing medical care for babies and support for new families. She is readily available for any concerns regarding your baby's wellbeing via pager. Simona can review your baby for the '6 week check' at her consulting rooms.

 

Simona is highly experienced in addressing issues such as reflux and colic, feeding difficulties, infant sleep problems, unsettled/irritable babies. She is one of the Paediatricians at the Waverley Early Parenting Centre ('Sleep School'), managing unsettled babies and supporting families in achieving better feeding and sleeping routines.

General Paediatrics

Simona has consulting rooms at the following locations:

  • Mother and Baby Centre, Cabrini Malvern
  • The Pregnancy Pod, Clayton
  • Centre Road, Bentleigh East (opening in 2025)

Simona sees patients from birth until 16 years of age. She treats a wide variety of common childhood medical conditions (such as Asthma, Constipation, Failure to Thrive, Eczema) as well as children with developmental and behavioural concerns (such as Autism, ADHD, Developmental Delay).

She is involved in the care of acutely unwell children presenting to Emergency at Cabrini who require admission to the Paediatric Ward.

 

Simona also has a public appointment at The Women's at Sandringham Hospital and consults in the public Paediatric outpatient clinic at Sandringham Hospital.
